Cheesy

I have mentioned in the past how much I despise the Center For Science in the Public Interest, whose motto appears to be "Taking the Fun Out Of Anything You Like". This afternoon, while using the StumbleUpon service, I was presented with one of their self-righteous pages announcing that cheese was an awful thing that should be scorned because of its terrible health effects. I quickly flipped to another page ... and was delighted to note that the next four sites presented all had something to do with cheese -- from the American Dairyman's Council to the Maine Cheese Board.

Take that, arrogant blowhards!

Bill,
You had a link sometime back for a cheesecake that had chunks of brownies in it and a ganache on top. I have looked and looked and cannot find that recipe again. A friend is hitting the big 4-0, and I think she definately needs that. Can you post that link again? Thank you so much,

Julie

I don't recall a cheesecake with brownies. I've got a recipe for a Ricotta Cheese cheesecake that I made a while back, and two recipes for a chocolate chip cheesecake that I don't think I ever actually made. If none of those sound right, I found a reference here -- http://smittenkitchen.com/2007/08/alexs-choice/ - to a recipe that uses those ingredients; it points back to a Epicurious recipe as its original source.

Hope that helps.

Cheese, wonderful cheese. It is good for the bones when you get older.

I'm not a big cheese eater, but I'd like to expand what I do eat (which wouldn't be difficult, as its about 98% Kraft Singles right now).
