Reading, Cont'd

I find that as I read things, I sometimes don't put the pieces together. I read pages one through ten, and by eleven I'm having a hard time remembering the details of one. This is part of why, despite liking it a lot, I haven't gotten back to Team of Rivals -- I had to start making little notes about who was who, and where did it say that in the book. But its not just books. Today, I'm reading the papers, and coming across concepts that I want to think about -- hell, just remember. And I can't do it. I don't want to scribble notes; writing something on the laptop while I'm reading seems to break the stream of awareness. Just stopping every so often to encapsulate what it is that I've just read is sometimes difficult.

I guess I'm a little irritated that its still something I have to work at. So I'm sure I'll find this article to be of interest. Once I finish reading it, that is....
