My daughter's not having a very good evening.
Actually, it started this morning when my wife pointed out that on her grade sheet, she'd gotten a C on two different quizzes. She got an A for the course, because she did some extra work, but my wife's feeling was that if you aren't hacking the quiz, you aren't learning. She didn't get a lot of agreement from my daughter on that one. This evening, she was working on an online scavenger hunt, where you're supposed to go to specific web sites and find the answer to questions. She didn't mention it to me, but when my wife got home (about half an hour later), she immediately pressed her into service -- and almost immediately thereafter, started proclaiming that the way my wife was doing it was stupid, and, anyway, the answers couldn't possibly be on that web page because she'd already looked there. I offered to help, and consider myself fortunate to have gotten away alive. The daughter eventually found one or two more answers on the page where they couldn't possibly be, and then got ready for her CCD class. Three minutes before she was supposed to leave, she realized that she had no idea where her packet of information for the class was, without which....and so forth. As far as I know, she never did find it.
Not a good evening.
