I sometimes say that I like to read hard material. It'd be more accurate to say that I like to have read hard material. The actual process of translating it into something I understand can wear me right the heck out.
Here's an example of what I mean. I'm not even sure I understand the explanatory material. I for sure can't understand the details, and I'm in awe of -- and envious of -- people who do.
Fascinating stuff, though, even at my level.

*zoom* That's the sound of that article going right on over my head. I'm with you .. I can't understand it much to even read to far into it.
My brain hates to work that hard. heehee!
Actually, I think it sounds more like weeeeeeeeEEEEEEEVRRRROOOMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm... but I could be wrong (g)
I think anything is explainable. I mean, even the phrase 'quantum singularity' can be made to make sense (though not by me). But when I looked at that page, I had to slow way the heck down before I could be sure -- reasonably sure -- that it wasn't a parody page. Most of it whipped through my conciousness like neutrinos through butter.
But I like that.
See? My brain's to small to even come up with a proper 'zoom' sound. :P
No, it simply means that, like the classic Canadian, you are too polite to be bombastic -- the tall poppy thing, doncha know? Quite admirable, actually.
Aww *blush* YOU are too sweet!
