Yeah. Things aren't desperate, but they're not rosy, either. Thing is, they're trying to get her back to a relatively 'normal' state, but her 'normal' was degraded before this started.
I was startled to find that if I say DNR or something similar, a doctor must approve it. I don't agree with that.
The doctor must only approve if you do not have a directive. When my MIL moved in with us we took her to a lawyer and had her will revised for our state and also talked to her about a DNR directive which she agreed to. She was in pretty good health at this time and I am so thankful we did that.

The goal is to make it through life and not ever hear those words...fat chance though.
