If a recession is happening/about to happen, does that imply that the prices of certain things will drop? You'd think I'd know this, but I don't. But I do wonder, because if we're contemplating major purchases, a recession-fueled price drop might be a localized good thing... maybe.

So would a good drop in fuel prices. As a small business these fuel prices are starting to pinch a lot. We can only pass on the costs after absorbing as much as we can to avoid it.
This is where we need the help like, yesterday.

This recession stuff is so interesting. It's almost like everyone (in the press) is really hoping for it. Slow news week? People just bored and want to do something different for a while???? Odd.

I know that it's a stereotypical view, but I don't think that the current administration cares all that much about small businesses. They'll mention it in rhetoric, but thats about it.

I certainly don't know of anyone who wants one; I'm just thinking 'if its going to happen, how do you soften the blow/perhaps benefit from it'. The only thing that I know of is to get into non-stock-market oriented securities, which is more defensive than anything.
