Platypus

If you use Firefox, you might want to make the acquaintance of an add-on called Platypus. It works in conjuction with the Greasemonkey add-on to let you dynamically alter pages as they're displayed. For example, if the Google home page seems cluttered to you, Platypus will let you build a script that will alter the displayed page to your liking. I use it a lot with really busy pages -- flashing boxes and the like -- where I just want to read, but get distracted. I invoke Platypus, select the distraction, hit 'delete', and it's gone. Granted, unless I save the script, it's there the next time, but that no big deal.

Works well, and easy to use. It's worth checking out.
