I baked two things today, neither of which turned out well. I installed Firefox 3, which immediately disabled an addon I use a lot, and when I tried to restore the old version, it flat would not start. (A reinstallation fixed that.)
So I think I'll take a nap.

I haven't gotten three downloaded yet. I was waiting on any kinks to be worked out of it yet. I was worried about things not working and getting all messed up.
LOL! Thanks for stopping by! Yes, posterity. And that's why my husband loves me. And why I shouldn't blog after midnight after being sick for a week...
I think I'll go fix that now.
I'm given to understand that it is possible to tell FF not to check version numbers, but simply 'go and load'. The process carries the warning that this might result in FF not starting, period -- though elsewhere I saw a passing reference to a 'FF Safe Mode'. My feeling is, I looked at FF3, didn't see anything that made me think Gotta Have This, so I'll stay with FF2 until I don't have an alternative.
