Not Panicking Yet
Came home from therapy and learned from my wife that she'd gotten the results from her annual mammogram. For the first time, they want her to come in for a followup ultrasound.
Breast tissue changes as we age. An ultrasound is sometimes needed for more dense breast tissue... just being called isn't indicative of anything more exciting than that.
Part of the reason for this is the technology in mammograms is getting better and they see more including fiberous tissues, I have been called back in twice and it was just to use a finer grain on the films to see better and it was nothing but fiberous tissue. now thru my research 80-90 percent of any lumps are just that ...lumps, not malignant, so hang in there comfort her as much as you can and have faith. It's gonna be OK. Sending Prayers for her.
My wife said to say that she finds all of this information most comforting and most helpful, and much more useful than my suggestion last night that I prepare to resume dating, just in case.

Crossing my fingers that all is well and it's just her doc being extra careful.
