Insurance

I think that having insurance is a good thing.

Now, I think it's REALLY a good thing.

I particularly like the eighth entry on the second page. Though the last two lines on the third page, showing what the insurance company paid, are pretty damned impressive, too.

I paid for several large pizzas to be sent to the ortho floor where I was a resident for two days, to thank the nurses for what they did. I feel like I should send some to the insurance company, too!

Oh, and my tab for all of this?

A hundred bucks.

Thank you, Health America.

Amazing. A hundred bucks. Very thoughtful of you to take the time and effort to thank the nurses, too. I don't believe that they get as much recognition as they deserve. I'm sure they appreciated your kindness.

I was glad to do it. I got the distinct impression it didn't happen very often. I told one of them that I was naming her (and three others) to the 'service manager' (I forget the actual title) because I was so impressed, and she said that that was good; getting such comments was the only way for her to get an above-average rating. Guess there's no box for 'pizza' on their eval forms.

Wow, that's some great coverage and the breakdown quite complicated. I laughed at the one you pointed out (Super Bowl).

I can't imagine there being that many appreciative patients like you. I'm sure your kind gesture was more then smiled upon by those nurses.

Well, I DID want to make a positive impression on the cute LPN who worked at night... but I guess its just as well that I haven't seen her since then. My wife might decide to let me see how I like having other extremities broken, shattered, and otherwise confungled.

Incidentally, I came across this post in a different blog. It made me happy all over again that I have insurance -- http://www.mylifemypace.com/
