Went to see Iron Man. The theater was about three quarters empty. I guess movies on a warm(ish) day aren't a big draw.
The parts that were there to appeal to teen to twenties guys, I liked. Explosions, military guys talkin' crisp and fast, really cute women. I really liked the artificial intelligence systems, though, and the robotics. Enhanced to no end by special effects, of course, but still -- Hot diggety. Love to see more of that, more about that.
The movie's two hours plus; my guess it, it could have been 1.75 with no loss. The usher said that if we stayed to after the credits, we'd see an 'extra scene'. We did. Totally not worth it, and only about twenty seconds long, to boot.
But overall... not bad.

I wanna see that too. I like military stuff and explosions in movies.
I wouldn't say its the best movie I've ever seen, but its not one that you'd want to watch on a small screen -- whereas the new Batman (Dark Knight), there's no way I'd go to see it in the theaters. It feels even grittier than the last one (which I liked quite a lot).
