I know this is about a teacher and her reaping the rewards of her teachings and justly so, But,when I was that age I longed for a boy that could write letters like that even back then, I finally found him, it took me 30+ years but that's not what counts. He's not young either but the love letters can be so touching...Why don't men write more letters? I know it's totally out of the subject but Oh, Well.
If you mean letters, as in physical paper, I think that's pretty much gone now. Some nostalgia there. But if you mean letters as communication -- well, blogs are communication, aren't they? Though I have to say that you'll probably never hear me longing for the toll of the schoolbell...the retirement bell, now thats a different story.

Incidentally, I'm not positive about this, but I think that the organization they're talking about might be Canadian.
