Wild Life

The robins have apparently adopted our deck railing as a hang-out bar. Lots of somewhat-effective mating dances going on. One of them just challenged a male cardinal, which, given that the robins are about a third bigger, immediately decamped -- followed quickly by the female robin, and, a minute later, the male. Now they're back, just kind of ignoring each other... except that the male keeps edging closer.
