I'm surprised to see how much I'm enjoying
At Ease. I had picked it up as light reading while we were at the local college's book sale, thinking that it was, literally, stories he told people --
there were these three cavalry men, walking back to the post. It was raining, great sheets of lightening. One of them turned to the others... -- but it turns out that that's not what it is, at all -- it's his autobiography. As biographies go, it's light reading -- and it's pretty good.
