Dell? Dull.
Words do not fail me, but polite ones do. So, based on my recent experience with having a defective DC power jack on a Dell Inspiron 1525, and their idea of what 'basic warranty means', let me just say:
I'm beginning to believe that. Though I did find one guy who seemed genuinely interested in helping. He found the record of my laptop purchase -- the wizards there had created a Brand New Customer Number for me -- which meant that when I looked under the one that I knew of, there was no indication that it ever existed. And the guy from their Oureach team seems interested, too.
Overall, though....not an easy organization to deal with.

Dude, friends don't let friends buy Dell anything.
