Now, this may not be a true story, but I hope that it is.
It seems that this town was repaving a street. A woman came out and asked if they'd use any extra paving material to do her driveway. Sure, they said, for a freshly baked pie! One hour later, she delivered a hot apple pie to the foreman. Gosh, he said, I was kidding. And anyway, my favorite is peach.
That afternoon, there was an empty pie tin, with bits of peach...at the top of a freshly paved driveway.
