Battles
You can fight the battles you think you can win. You can fight the battles that you think matter, whether you think you can win them or not. Or you can fight the battles that -- well, have no damn good reason.
I don't think they should be able to buy pornography on base. Off base, fine. But not on base. It's disrespectful and sexually harassing to the women that also serve in the military, especially on a base where the pornography is sold.
I wonder if they provide male based pornography for the women? Maybe even a little guy on guy. A lot of women get into that, more than what men want to believe.
It's not that sex is bad, but pornography can be if it's blatantly mixed into a situation where women are supposed to be looked at as equals. There's a reason why porn is not allowed in office environments. The same, if not stricter standards, should go for the government.
I do think that in an environment where men and women are considered equal, there should be equal erotic opportunity. Once the military agrees to recognize the validity of gay members, no pun intended, then that would of course include them.
When I was in the military, I noticed that the availability of such material tended to reflect the prevailing societal mores outside the gate.

And I don't want my tax dollars paying for that.
