I think they look yummy! Perfect for the warm days ahead when something sweet, but not heavy is best.Theirs look store bought and dry. Yours really look homemade and chocolatey, and that's much better.
Oh, it's for sure intensely chocolate... more like frosting than batter. I don't regard that as a bad thing. I'd save one for you, but perhaps I should just make a new batch, next time you're in town...
