Have you ever been to recipezaar.com? I always mean to mention it to you. It's fantastic. It does everything, and has a wonderful community. I love it so much I pay for the premium membership and have found it's worth every penny. I especially like that other users in the community are allowed to rate recipes and leave notes about their experiences with each recipe.
I've looked there on occasion, usually when just poking around. Like a fair number, I suspect, I have a lot more recipes than I need -- things I'd like to try outnumber the ones we have tried. That's something I'm trying to address with my newfound free time.
Yeah, I periodically prune recipes out that I know I will never make. I finally got organized and sorted them out between courses and made sections for each course marked "recipes to try" and "recipes we like" and move them around accordingly. Doing all the cooking, I love having everything in one place and I enter in any recipes I find in magazines and such.
I use the meal plan and shopping list feature alot too. We stay on a tight budget and it really helps me plan it all out.
I've tried Mastercook software but found it to be incredibly clunky compared to recipezaar.
