I did not watch it but I have a hundred outrageous stories that you just can't make up, we did some crazy things trying to follow the standard operating procedures and many passengers just acted in a crazy manner.
I'm not sure the TSA screener did anything wrong if he was following the latest SOP's, but I can tell you from experience that some law enforcement, especially federal ones with high security clearances think they are special and should be exempt from screening and the rules that apply to most passengers and when we tell them that there are not exempt, they act like pouty children.
From what I gather, the woman objected to being told that she could not bring a sippy cup with liquid in it, and she had to dispose of it. Apparently, this was done in a somewhat hostile manner. She said the cup then spilled; TSA said (and apparently has proof) that she deliberately dumped it. She said they then made her get down and clean it. I don't know if thats true.

I beleive that. I think that its a classic position where you can't afford to be wrong.
In this case, the TSA guy did something that objectively wasn't called for, but the woman involved then spun the story so that she was blameless.
