Nothing like confusing the issue.
Having gotten to the point where I think that yes, I do want to take the job that they haven't actually offered me yet, and may not, because it'd be different, and because it'd be a chance to up our savings some more, and assuming travel is acceptable (less than two weeks per month, on average), I this afternoon casually mentioned to my wife, apropos of retirement locations 'You know, maybe I could take a week or so and drive down to North Carolina myself, just to look around at one or two places."
Um, Bill? Wouldn't that sort of conflict with the idea of working, which tends to be, you know, full time???
Oh. Um... yeah.
