The oral surgeon told me this morning that I've been in the pipeline for these implants for so long, the technology has actually changed -- 'cone beam' CT scan vs Xray, 'flapless implant surgery', the whole thing. He said its even possible now to take a digital image of a jaw, send it to a site that uses a CNC machine to create a dental crown from scratch, and all the dentist does it take it and put it in place. Presto.
And to think I got to pay for him to be able to make this upgrade - lucky me!
