Reading

I normally enjoy reading about medical procedures, but I find that as I read about hemiarthroplasty surgery, I'm skipping the ones that list what can go wrong. Instead I gravitate to those saying 90% restored function in a year, things like that.

Wonder why?

I think it shows a lot of solid common sense to skip all of the What Can Go Wrong reading. Fortunately, my experience with this kind of thing is limited. But I do believe that we all tend to dwell on the downside possibilities far too much. Reading your posts, it does sound as though you're staying very grounded and informed, but still upbeat. So Good For You.

I know this must be a time of stress and concern for you and for your family. I really hope all goes well.
