I've mentioned on occasion how non-impressed I am with many, perhaps most, doctor's offices. So much so that as I sit here, I think Surely there must be some you like. One? But none come to mind.
Anyway, last night I read this blog post by a fellow who's going into med school, and for the first time in his life, he was seriously ill. I won't spoil the post, but I think it's worth reading -- by every damn doctor out there.

Thanks, Bill! I truly appreciate the kind words.
Well warranted, sir.
Woah...very interesting experience he had there. I've had a couple things brought on by recklessly prescribed antibiotics too.
I'm glad he's ok, though. I got scared for him just reading that.
It did seem like the involved docs were just tossing drugs -- here, try this anti-pregnancy patch, fella -- but what really got me was the feeling that they were clueless but would not admit it. Much like the disparate doctors my mother sees now. They mostly subscribe to the theory of 'Sometimes wrong, never uncertain'.
