I feel like I've eaten a ton of stuff. I haven't, but I did eat way more dessert-type stuff than I normally do. Little Italian pastries to big Ghiradelli brownies, I had some. I am so not getting on a scale for a while.
I was just looking at a blog written by a woman who lives in the South, and I found myself wondering if people who live in the South think of us as 'the North'. I've always kind of liked the image of the South, personally. I would imagine that after living two thirds of my life in the Northeast, there'd be a lot of things that would drive me crazy, from the pace of life to the local stores (Piggly-Wiggly??? What the hell is that?), but the image I have is of people who pretty much like their lives. I like the image of Southern food, too, which is odd, because I'm not a foodie, and the idea of yams this and sweet potato that and biscuits and gravy just freaks me out. Why you would want to ruin a perfectly good biscuit.... but the image appeals to me. I don't know why.
I have a lot to read, but I'm tired, so it can wait.
Tomorrow I go to see the oral surgeon for a status check on these implants. I am betting that he will say they look good, and that I can use the appliance to chew if I want to.... occasionally. A little bit. But, you know, not too much. However, if he says anything more tense than that, I am going to seriously not be a happy camper.

Lol! We do have a lot of food on holiday weekends around here :)
I prefer butter on my biscuits, but biscuits and gravy is pretty darn good too. I don't know a thing about "yams", but I do love me some sweet potatoes ;-)
Oh, and Piggly Wiggly is a grocery store chain, much like Kroger. But I prefer the Winn-Dixie.
Hope the dental thing goes well.
I did know about the supermarkets, though I've never been in either. You just get used to names. One of the local ones is Giant; there's a different one in Maryland called Giant Eagle, which always sounds fake to me.
Oh, and you can regard me as an unhappy camper. No steak or hotdogs for me this year....
