I hate being told that I have to sign in in order to leave a comment on a blog. I know why people do it, I just hate it, and I'll frequently say 'Ah, the heck with it". But this picture is so nice, I wanted to tell the person who put it there -- Hey, nice picture!
So if the author comes by -- now he knows.

You know what's even worse then having to sign in and do that horrible letter verification on a blog .. it's when you have to do that on your own freaking blog. ARGH! :P
Rach -- is that because you have verification turned on for your blog? I didn't know that system was dumb enough to require it for the owner, too....

I'm sorry you object to the sign-up thing in order to leave a comment. The spammers have spoiled everything for us all, and although Network Nature might seem like a 'closed community' anyone can sign up, and you only have to do it the once. Funny thing is of course, I now have to remember my blogger password to leave a comment here...
I've seen some uses of Open Id, which I gather is supposed to address that sort of problem, but I have my doubts.....
