Teenopause

I understand that mood swings are the provenance of menopause.

Last night, my daughter was delighted because her color guard had gotten a high enough score, at an elevated level of competition, that if they had been actually competing, instead of hosting the competition, they'd have gotten first place.

This afternoon, my daughter expressed sullen dismay to find that the question of compentence in Science had not gone away just because we had the meeting with the teacher, and that, in fact, she and I would be reviewing science for at least an hour this afternoon. Possibly more.

Mood swings are not just an indicator of menopause.
