RNC

Trying to force myself to watch the RNC convention. Not easy. They're so serious....

Lol!

I do like Fred Thompson, though. Can't help it. He's such a man's man. You know I dig that sort of thing ;-)

I never took you for a masochist, Bill.

The things one learns about folk. Huh go figure. :-)

I am trying hard to understand how half the country can prefer McCain. You know, understanding -- its the curse of the occasionally liberal. I am not having much luck, at the visceral level. I do know that McCain's a hero, and he sounds sincere. Plus, he's not uppity -- got his smarts from Hard Knocks U. I suspect thats his key, and I don't know how Obama can effectively counter those. Good thing he's smarter than me.

But listening to some of those people is hard. I even tuned out sweet, sincere Laura, because I couldn't handle what she was saying. Did like the ex-Army officer, though, and I felt for the woman firefighter who had to wait while people traipsed over to homage to Bush Sr. But the others -- I would like to just shake some of those people until their eyes rattled around in their empty heads. I want to shout Are you better off now than you were four years ago, you imbeciles??? Do you like the way things are going??? Do you REALLY think McCain can fix it?

It gets to me. I tell you this, though: I'm beginning to understand the attraction of dirty tricks in politics.
