I just got back from a short walk with my wife. On the walk, we talked about an article I'm reading - finally - that was published in the New Yorker in September of this year, on the topic of General Petraeus and our strategy in Iraq -- the assumptions and calculations that drove and drive it. Towards the end, we segued into talking about the election, and the debates, mulling over the actions and statements of each of the contenders.
It was a most enjoyable walk.
