Some Benefit

I was feeling a little glum over the idea that my period of non-chewing is going to last well into the New Year -- I'm expecting it to last until just past the end of February -- when I got the current Williams-Sonoma catalog. They've outdone themselves in terms of both cooking equipment for the foodie-yuppe (fuppie?); my personal favorite is the eight thousand dollar gas range (thirteen hundred dollar delivery fee not included), and in terms of the foods they offer -- candies, pastries, cakes, breads, you name it. At least, I thought sourly, gazing at this chocolate cornucopia, I won't be gaining much weight this holiday season!

Yes, but chocolate doesn't need to be chewed. It melts in your mouth.

Actually, I'm not that much into chocolates. I prefer cookies and the occasional pastry. None of that for me this year, I think -- but the real killer is, no pepperoni pizza, either!
