Well, I just realized that I don't have six books waiting to be read or
in process; I have eight. Nine, if you count the book on the French
language that I just picked up a few days ago from the library. So I
suppose I'd best get cracking -- starting with This Time Is Different
(the first book in a while that I've read with a highlighter). And maybe
that Donna Leon novel....

Unfortunately my visit to the city involved a walk into Borders...something I rarely see here in the country...so I had to had two more to my pile.
I used to really like Borders. Now I feel as if their clerks are just clerks. They don't know much about books. (Some do, but not most.)
They don't hire on basis of bookish-ness. To apply for a job, you fill out an endless psychological questionnaire.
And then it seems to be catch as catch can!
A psych questionnaire? To work at Borders?
Wow.
