Because of the incredible delays that can occur when some of that darn Canadian weather slides down, carrying with it snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Not that OHare isn't a pain anyway, what with it's volume, but come the heavy weather, and you've better have a sleeping bag.

And I was VERY impressed with the subway at OHare airport. (Actually I was impressed with EVERYTHING at OHare. Why do people say they don't like it?)
