I clipped the end of a Bic pen cover to see if I could make it work as a stop for the (old) food processor's catch. Didn't work. Wish I had that original piece.
Thinking about it, the thought occurred to me: what if that piece had just fallen into the drawer? I had looked, before, but I looked again. What the heck.
Nada.
Yeah, but what if after falling it had then slid under the shelf liner paper?
Bingo.

Darned bits of plastic! Not as adventurous as socks in the dryer, but still - going for a walk like that! It probably meant to wander back but got lost. :-)
Normally in a case like this, I'd think 'I wish I hadn't bought that new one', but we really like it. So now we can either give this one away, confident that it works, or keep it as a spare. Like we'll ever NEED a spare....
