This is my current wallpaper. Its from an article about a town in Canada nameed Goderich that was severely damaged by a tornado. From the article:

I have it there as a reminder of what's important. I forget that a lot.

Don't we all too often forget. We rattle on about the petty and unimportant forgetting to care for our own and each other.
I recall reading an article about how quickly -- not immediately, but within weeks - after 9/11, people's attitudes amd actions were returning to normal. Some said this proved the resiliency of the human spirit.
