Bateaus

This is a picture we took across the street from the Eiffel Tower. Looking at it still makes me smile.

River boats and all. Never been to France. A nice scene there.

We got "pushed" onto one of those boats. Someone thought we were strays from a group of Americans and literally ushered us up a passageway and onto the boat.

No one spoke English (yeah, right) and no one was interested in taking our money. So we enjoyed the sightseeing and I had a nice Heineken on someone else's tab. I have no idea who's...

I had thought it would be a Disney thing with a tinny recording and all of that, but, actually, it wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed it.

Et, CA? Vous me devez cinq euros vingt.

I liked much of Paris. Part of it was scenes like this. Although there were lots of tourists just across the street, there weren't that many at the bateau's launch site.

I got a couple of pictures of my daughter and the son of our friend, with this as a background, too. Part of the reason I keep returning to these pictures as my changing wallpaper on this laptop.

Mon dieu! Bon, prĂȘter moi cinqaintaine que ... vingt-cinq... And I've run out of language! :-)

I'm trying to say "My God! Okay, lend me fifty and then I'll pay you the twenty five". But it's a looong time since I did French, and I didn't want to cheat by using Google Translate. :-)
