Inauguration
Anyone else for just saying the hell with it and doing the Presidential Inauguration right now? They can still hold the festivities later, but do the transfer of power now.
He is not a magic man. Nothing is going to happen on inaugaration day that will change much unless it is the psychology of the market. We have to be patient to fix this broken country.
I don't agree. He is doing much of the crafting, persuading, and politicking now that you'd expect a president to do. He does not have the legal power to act, but he does have the moral power to push change. As for when, perhaps not literally that day (though I wouldn't bet against it, particularly if the Congress gets their act together).
We have one President at a time, Bill. It's just unfortunate that one won't do his job, and the other can't. (Yet.) :-)
Or: Give the man a break! He needs time to get to know the job. 8 years is nowhere near enough time to learn how to be Presidunt. (He's got the Presidon't down to a tee...)
Get to know the job? I'm sure theres much to it he's not encountered yet, but it certainly seems to me that he's doing the job now. Perhaps we can simply change their titles to President De Facto Obama and President De Jure Bush?
