Talking Politics

I spoke to a woman the other day about the election who said that she still didn't know who to vote for. I told her that she should pick two or three areas that are really important to her, hear what each of the candidates says, and see which one sounded more like what she thinks ought to be done. I also said that you have to temper that with how believeable the candidate is -- ie, are they just saying it to get my vote, or do they really mean it. I was surprised to see that she seemed to be thinking about it. Surely, that'd be obvious? Not always, apparently.

Trouble is...nobody is actually doing the "thinking" part.

Gosh, I hope they are. Any 'gut level' voting is too much.
