I read the other day that Bush is still the Republicans best fund raiser, but now he doesn't make public appearances. He flogs it in, whips up the crowd, collects the checks, and flogs it out. More and more Republican candidates don't actually want to be seen with him, but as for his money, why, thank yew kindly.
We are SO screwed.....

Well, things could be worse. You could have Jean Cretien as your Prime Minister. Count your blessings!
Good luck on the dental implants. I has a nice piece of cadaver bone inserted into my jaw. I ended up spending a LOT of time in the dentist chair...the extraction of the roots, the stitches, and so forth were complications, but the drilling out of the plug to receive the cadaver, the months to allow it to "set", then drill and tap the bone for the post seemed to take forever. Actually, sticking the tooth onto the post and screwing it into place was pretty anticlimactic.
Bottom line...this proceedure is considered cosmetic, so my insurance doesn't cover it. It was very expensive, and now, two years later, I think it was worth every penny!
But I wonder sometimes about whose bone I got to use.
The oral surgeon I am dealing with is very conservative. He doesn't want to use cadaver for fear of disease transmission. Whats ironic is that I thought 'one month ago, they took bone out of my upper arm -- now he wants to do an exraction from my hip in preference to cadaver or other alternatives. Wonder if they still have that chunk lying around at the hospital?' But conservative is good, I think.
I really have to get up your way some time, I think. I would like that.
