Trickery
My daughter just showed me a card trick, involving much laying out and selecting of piles. At the end, she asked me to pick one of two cards. I said 'the one on the left'. She showed me the one on the right. It was mine.

What she shoulda said..."your discard is on the left. Great, that leaves the one on the right. And thats your card!".
I love magic. People won't play cards with me any more though.
I did card manipulations all the way to London and back. The people in the seats beside me refused to ask what I was doing.
Why didn't they ask? Afraid you'd offer to engage in a friendly game?
I think magic is wonderful so long as I don't feel I'm about to be fleeced.
