Power

I cannot....believe it.

My daughter's Dell laptop? The power charge function just died. Plug it in, the laptop doesn't see power.

And there's this burning smell..... no kidding.

On the bright side, I was able to get her Sansa MP3 player, which would not start, to start. Apparently, holding in the MENU button for thirty seconds forces a 'reboot'. I know what a reboot is, but no clue about what it means in this context. However.....

Dell. Listen, guys.....

Yeah. Thats my feeling of late, too.

I hate that you can't translate 'costs more' into 'works better'. What I want, I think, is a Windows version of a Mac -- though I do wonder if the quality of a Mac is as good as they say. Not 'is it good', but 'is the physical machine THAT good'. And 'would I be willing to spend the money to find out'.
