From a logical point of view, it makes no sense to be delighted when done, as doing taxes is an onerous tax made more difficult each year. It's like being delighted when someone stops hitting you on the head. Much better if they never started... I recall how irritated I was when I learned that the government COULD generate an 'estimated tax statement' which I could modify at will -- but they don't, thank you, Intuit.
And refunds are, after all, your money that the government kept.
