This is one of those days when I think that I am really, really stupid for trying to learn French, or for wanting to go to France. Reasons? Each of those conclusions has a unique one. Same ones as they always are.
On the other hand, I did recognize one new phrase in the video (Elle est mari, ta soeur?) , and learned one, today, so I guess that's something. Pas trop mal...

I admire you for studying French! :-) (And our honeymoon was in Paris.)
I have mixed feelings about Paris. I understand that it's the City of Light, a magical place, all of that. But when I think of it, I see hordes of tourists, dreadlocked people pushing cheap replications of the Tour Eiffel, and overpriced food. Like San Francisco -- first time we went, you could take the first cable car of the day and be alone with the gripman and perhaps one or two commuters. Three years later, there were lines at 6AM of camera-toters in baggy shorts. My daughter says when she went to see the Mona Lisa, she got a dandy picture -- of a hundred or so Japanese tourists crowded around it. So for me, the goal will be to see some highlights -- but to try very hard not to make the tourist attractions be Paris.
