Garmin Wanderin'

We thought it'd be a neat idea to bring the GPS to France. Bought the BeNeLux France software upgrade package.

Come to find out, it can't find the small French town I'm going to. Not displayed on the map, or, when I do a city search, in the results. Does turn up cities in Guatemala and Hungary, though.

Say whut?

Sounds like Indiana... I can call the Mrs up, give her a junction and back comes the reply "Nope, that place doesn't exist!"

For some reason that happens only in Indiana...

Considering how ubiquitous Google Maps is, how omnipresent it is, I'm guessing that if it's not on their maps, it really doesn't exist. (Does that mean Dick Cheney's home, while he was VP, didn't exist? :-) )

Oh, it's on GMaps. It's even on Garmins demo of their maps' coverage, on their site. It's on the downloaded one that there seem to be....lacunae.
