The Word of the Day is Dysphagia, which means 'difficulty in swallowing'. My mother's got it, and according to what I read, its pretty common for stroke victims. The fix is physical therapy to get the mouth and throat muscles back in shape to be able to handle holding and transferring food. Apparently, some stroke victims have it, don't get the knack of eating -- and die.
Let's hope this is temporary.
