Weaponry

From CNN:

LITITZ, Pennsylvania (AP) -- Police seized 54 guns from the home of an 18-year-old man charged with killing his girlfriend's parents and fleeing the state with her, according to court documents filed Thursday. Warwick Township police removed the collection of rifles, shotguns, handguns and ammunition Sunday from the home where suspect David Ludwig lived with his parents. .

I look forward to the NRA's facile explanation as to why it is normal for one person to have that much killing hardware. I'm sure it will be reasoned...and reasonable....and oblivious. Again.

Bill, I think the NRA is gonna lie low on this one. 'David who?' The homeschooling movement is probably feeling a bit bilious, too.

This horrific crime has brought out some concerns I have had about the movement for a while.

I suspect you're right about the first. Its a fight that they've already fought, in much more egregious circumstances, and, if not won, didn't obviously lose. As to the second, not sure. I have generally good feelings about the homeschooling movement (even though the people who do it tend to do it for reasons other than mine would be, that doesn't mean they're so much wrong as, you know, misguided (g) ). I find it a little hard to tag them with this one. Could be, though. Better minds than mind will have to cogitate on that one.
