Sunday

Sunday morning, and it's not raining. It rained last night, and through the night, too, but not right this very moment. Though the sky is a bit cloudy....

I had asked myself what I'd do when doing the bike was not consistantly returning results. Well, about a month earlier than expected, that day is here. Yesterday morning, I weighed two pounds more than I did the day before, and this morning, it's half a pound more than that. Most irritating.

Muscle is now replacing the fat.

You knew that day would come. Why fight it?

OTOH, muscle burns more calories than an equal weight of blubber. So it is all good.

Muscular fat?

Yeah, I guess I know it, but...well, you know. I don't LIKE it.

I never really know what to beleive when I read articles by people who 'do' exercise as a living. They seem to have contradictory opinions as to what works. The best I ever heard was a guy who observed that if you aggregated all of the popular diet plans, eating only what they all agreed on ... you'd eat nothing.

Last resort. The Biafan diet has little to recommend it.

True. High in fiber. Low in everything else.

Which brings to mind: when was the last time people thought about Biafra? "Newer, fresher tragedies" from Doonesbury comes to mind.
