TSA, Canadian Style

Apparently, the people who run airport security in Canada can be just as stupid as ours -- including an inability to say yeah, we screwed up, we're sorry.

Nothing that is being done to people who are attempting to fly will make the flight any more safe.

The smoke and mirrors are all designed to a) provide a false sense of security so people won't NOT buy tickets, and b) justify the huge amounts of money spent on all forms of security, big and small.

There are ways to make flying secure, however, you need to be sure that the methods work, and that you are targeting the correct danger. This can be a problem.

I don't doubt that what the TSA and their brethren do are effective. I do think that What pisses me off is that they treat EVERYONE as a terrorist. And when they screw up, as they seem to have done here, they NEVER admit that they were wrong. NEVER.

Cops get like that after awhile. It becomes a case of "well, there's US and there are the Perps. Yeah, I just haven't caught YOU yet".
