I'm not a social-media kind of guy (more an anti-social, actually), but I do like both the cartoons and the comments that Rob Cottingham (of Canada!) puts on his Noise to Signal site. He makes some funny, interesting points every time.
I should try doing that.....

I'm really not either. I did go on facebook to see what all the hullabaloo was about, one time. I suppose if that's the only way you had to keep up with family it might be okay. There was people liking me from everywhere, people I didn't know, didn't want to know. Generally speaking, I found facebook to be much to do about nothing. Cheers.
Generally, I agree with you. I think that its a way to keep in touch, but not a replacement for reality. I wish there was a way to distinguish 'actual friends' from 'facebook friends', and isolate each. But thats exactly what the masters of Facebook DON'T want!
