Feline
We came home. When we opened the storage room door, the cat bounded down the stairs. If cats can emit a And where the hell were YOU? vibe, she did.
Now, of course, she's ignoring us.

Oh My Gosh! how DARE you leave that poor kitty trapped! HAHAHA! I get the exact same treatment when my Daughter shuts her bedroom door and one of the cats are in there. They are Horrified that I left them in there! And ignored I get for hours!
Cats are such fun creatures! Such divas! Mistreated and maligned.. even if it's imagined on their part. I love having our 3 cats.. they keep everything lively around here.
We're contemplating getting another. Not sure. I think it'd be fun, but cleaning out the box(es), not to mention, putting those little nail covers on...not sanguine about that. And then there's the question of 'what if they don't get along? What if the new one isn't as fun as Abbicat?'
Our cat gives us the same look when we're gone for several days. And then she follows us around everywhere like a little puppy for the next few days.
Cats are so much fun. :)
Ours is an only. We tried getting another cat for company, but that didn't work out well at all and we ended up returning him back to the no-kill shelter where we got him. And then he gave Zoloft ringworm as one last jab.
Ah, ringworm. When I was about 7, my father brought home a stray.
At the time, the treatment for ringworm was a) having all of your hair shaved off, and b)submitting to a UV light once a week. And wearing a little cap to school.

We figure that she thinks the door into the storage room (and the garage) is a Magic Portal, since we disappear for hours through it....
Granted, she had the run of half the house (the bedroom doors were closed, as was the storage room, and the den), but it's the principle of the thing.

I was quite, um, popular.
