My daughter is romping through the house, chanting I have short hair! I have short hair!

very nice hair cut! I did the same thing to mine a couple weeks ago. Of course I had dyed it red the week before. No one noticed the red, but everyone noticed the hair cut.. so much easier to deal with this way! Daughter tried to tell me she wanted her hair cut too, but I told her she had to think about it.. and she changed her mind. Knew she'd do that.
She is still delighted by it, though this morning complained that now she has to hunt for her hair when she wants to sweep it back. I said I knew the feeling....
